Personality
Kanna hides most of her feelings behind a coy mask. She's outwardly amiable, but is slow to trust. She has many professional connections, but few personal ones; she doesn't like the idea of letting someone close enough to hurt her. In the same vein, she's always willing to abandon someone if it means keeping herself safe.Kanna's expensive tastes tend to get her in trouble. She has a fondness for fine things and sometimes has trouble staying on top of her debts. Her weakness is clothing: she has an extensive wardrobe and often overspends on new pieces.
Biography
Kanna was born in Doma before the Garlean occupation to a family of shinobi. Was smuggled out by her aunt, Sai, who took her to Kugane. Kanna only has vague memories of Doma and considers herself more Hingan than Doman.Sai trained Kanna in the art of the shinobi from a young age. To make ends meet, her aunt took on jobs from the seedier side of Kugane, and essentially worked as an assassin. As Kanna got older, she followed in Sai's footsteps and joined her in her work.When Kanna was 17, the two of them were caught in the act of committing a murder. Kanna managed to escape, but Sai was jailed and eventually executed. Kanna fled to the Ruby Sea for a time and was taken in by one of the Confederates. There, she studied as a samurai to help distance herself from the assassinations she and Sai had committed.Upon her return to Kugane, Kanna reached out to Sai's old contacts and became a mercenary. While Kanna was more careful about the jobs she took, she had no qualms about breaking the law, and quickly became known in the criminal underground of Kugane as a capable smuggler and assassin.
